This Policy applies to the Presence Tracker mobile application and related services provided by Application Development Canada.
2. We do not collect your data
Presence Tracker is designed to operate entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, store, or process any personal data from you or your device.
Specifically:
- —All trip information you enter (travel dates, destinations, reasons for travel) is stored exclusively in local storage on your device.
- —We do not have access to your trip data, nor can we view, retrieve, modify, or delete it.
- —We do not collect crash reports, analytics, usage statistics, or any device information.
- —We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, or advertising identifiers.
- —The App does not connect to our servers or transmit any data to us.
Because we do not collect any personal data, many data privacy regulations (including GDPR, PIPEDA, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, and others) do not impose data controller obligations on us regarding user data. However, we maintain this Policy for transparency and to inform you of your rights regarding data stored on your own device.
3. Children's privacy
Because we do not collect any data, there is no risk of us inadvertently collecting information from children. The App's age restrictions are governed by our Terms of Use.
4. Your rights and your device data
Although we do not hold your data, you retain full control over the trip information stored locally on your device. You may:
- —Export, modify, or delete your data directly within the App settings.
- —Delete all data by removing the App from your device.
- —Back up your data using the App's own backup export, or your device's backup (for example iCloud).
We cannot assist with data recovery, export, or deletion because we have no access to your device or its contents.
5. Security
Because your data never leaves your device, its security depends entirely on your device's own protections. We strongly recommend:
- —Keeping your device and operating system up to date.
- —Using a device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.
- —Enabling device encryption if available.
Backup files you export from the App are unencrypted and readable by any app or person you share them with. Store and share them with the same care you would give any other document containing your travel history.
6. Third-party services
This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, products, or services accessed through links within the App. Those sites operate independently and have their own privacy practices.
7. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post an updated version within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
8. Language
This Policy is drafted in English. Any translation is provided for your convenience only. In the event of any inconsistency between the English version and a translation, the English version governs, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
